Cyprus Financial Intelligence Unit (MOKAS)
MOKAS, Cyprus’ Financial Intelligence Unit, became operational in 1997. It receives, evaluates and analyses suspicious transaction and activity reports related to money laundering, associated predicate offences and terrorist financing, and disseminates its findings to competent authorities, including the Police, for investigation or information purposes.
